I don’t want a title that sucks!

I’ve been racking my brain about a title to my blog.  I like ‘The Duck’s Bill’ because I’ve never heard it before and it is very original! However, if anyone can think of another great original title that’s just as cute I would love to hear it.

I haven’t done too much on the way of writing, lately.  Mostly because I am having problems with writer’s block.  This seems to happen every time I finish a book.  I guess my brain goes on vacation for a while.  Or maybe it just stimulates itself for another story, I’m not sure.

Research has been keeping me busy lately.  I’ve been researching blogs and what to title them and what not to title them.  (what works, what doesn’t etc.)  Not that I want to be famous, but I don’t just want to write to an audience of one person.  That is no fun for sure.

However, I did find out a new idea that sounds promising right after my books get done at KDP and I am going to try it.   Anyways, here’s the link to the guy and I think it sounds promising.  The only problem with it that I see, is you have to upload the book yourself to someone’s computer and since I am not that computer savvy I am not sure what’s going to happen with this one.  It’s an awesome idea…

Thoughts….

So, I’ve thought about it and thought about it and decided that this blog is NOT going to be just about writing.  If it is that would be sooooo boring and would make me fall asleep, as well as you guys.  I racked my brain and racked my brain until I figured out a few things I could share with you guys on my blog today.

Since we are all writers here in one form or another, I thought maybe we could share the things in our lives that drive us crazy while trying to write.  One of the things that drives me crazy when I write is…I’m right at the good part.  You know the part of your book in which we refer to as the climax and I got my mojo (sp?)  going.  I’m writing and writing……I’m trying to get it all out of me while I have it fresh in my mind and the cat sits directly on top of my hands on the computer with that mean ‘feed me’ look he gets when he’s hungry.  My cat is not one of those cats who does anything for attention.  Nope.  When he wants to be fed, he wants to be fed now.  So I feed him.   Back to the writing.  The kids are fighting (and they’re 18 and 24 years old)……Really?  “Mom, I need to talk to you,” “Mom, I need some money,” “Mom….”You know how it goes.  Calgon take me away! So I turn off my computer, and put it away in hopes that I can remember everything I want to write down tomorrow.  If not, there may be hell to pay in the future…..what irritates you when you try to write?  Come on, Don’t by shy guys tell me all about it………..

Hello and Welcome!

Just a quick note to welcome people to my new blog.  I am new to blogging, as you can tell, but I thought I’d give it a try.  Who knows? I might like it as much as I love writing stories.  I don’t know, I doubt it, but we’ll give it a shot anyhow.

My name is Angie and I am a writer.  These days who isn’t?  I started out writing short stories and poems and then, all of a sudden they turned into books.  Novellas, in which I am publishing on Amazon.com and other various sites.

Most of my stories are about the weird and unexplainable, and mysteries.  My newest story, published yesterday is about a whole new genre of writing I am interested in doing.  It’s a Western/Love story about a young girl who comes over on a wagon train and all of the challenges she has to endure growing up in the unsettled prairie.  I love this story and I hope everyone else loves it just as well.

I guess with these blogs you’re supposed to write what you know about.  In my case, it’s kind of boring to just write about writing.  So, I decided to write about some of the other things I know about and you may be surprised.  I have lots of interests ranging from comic books/ superheros to everything.  With that in mind, don’t be surprised at what you may find in my blog from time to time.  Sometimes you just have to read it to enjoy it!
